[Maine-birds] July Horned Lark still unconfirmed in eBird

Hi all,

My husband and I spent a week birding on MDI at the end of July, and, as usual, we eBirded our sightings. Today, for some reason, I remembered that we had a breeding plumage Horned Grebe at Sand Beach -- probably the most surprising sighting of our trip. The bird was swimming quite close to shore, we got greats looks and photos (one of which we included in our eBird report.) I checked out the Ebird map today and saw that the sighting was still unconfirmed, although there was another confirmed sighting of a similar Horned Grebe (the same bird?) a day or two earlier. I realize that eBird reviewers are busy, have lives, etc. But still, I was wondering what was up with that.

Anyone know?

Thanks,
