[Maine-birds] white-rumped sandpipers, Back Cove - Portland

Just back from a breezy humid bike ride around Back Cove.  A good dozen Greater Yellowlegs bobbing heads while working the mudflats, and among them four white-rumped sandpipers.  first of fall migration for the white-rumps in the cove (that i've seen, anyway).  They were just north of Chevrus High playing field in the cove mudflats.  Watched them for a few minutes to be sure I'd see the white rumps as they ruffled feathers and stretched wings.  got three for sure, the 4th i just assumed was the same (guilt by association).
