I stopped by the Leary Farm on Flagg Pond Rd. in Saco this morning and
saw a flycatcher on the south side of the road, around the pine trees in
the middle of the field, to the right of the cows. It is a long ways
off for binocs but I did see it fly out a couple of times from the fence
posts. It was light colored underneath with a very pale wash of yellow.
Looked uniformly gray on upper side but again it was a long ways off.
The tail did not look excessively long nor did I see any rufous. I
lost sight of it after a few minutes. It was most probably a Phoebe but
if anyone is in the area it might be worth checking.
