[Maine-birds] Newcastle Birds

Before I opened my eyes this morning I could hear a male Northern Flicker. Within minutes he was feeding in my yard with the local sparrows & juncos. I watched him until work. Beautiful! Then afterwork, amungst the sparrows was a Vesper Sparrow. It stayed for about an hour. Then walking by my swamp two Broad-wings greeted me, soaring about. Great looks. Occurances like these make my days happier.
