As I suspected, the white pelican didn't go far yesterday. It is now located at Long Cove, about a mile or so to the west of the prevous site. It has reportedly spent the day preening and loafing close to shore. The bird can be viewed from the Hoyt property. Follow Louis' previous directions to Clark Island Road and then turn right onto Caven Lane ( a dirt road/driveay) approx a mile beyond the Outward Bound entrance. Bear right onto Philbrook Lane and drive to the end.
