[Maine-birds] Additional Highlights This Week, 12/27-1/2 (and 2015 Predictions blog link)

 Hi all,

A handful of additional sightings of note from me, not previously reported here, over the past seven days included:

- 27 Dunlin, Winslow Park, Freeport, 12/28.

- 4 RED CROSSBILLS (voice recordings obtained for "Type" analysis) and 10 Common Redpolls, Waterboro Barrens Preserve, Waterboro, 12/30 (with Phil McCormack).

- 1 Carolina Wren, Camden, 1/1 (with Paul Doiron, Kristen Lindquist, and Jeannette).

- 1 1st winter Glaucous Gull, Bath landfill, 1/2.

- 1 1st winter Glaucous Gull (probably different bird from above), Whiskeag Trail, Bath, 1/2.

- 1 1st winter "NELSON'S" GULL, North End Boat Launch, Bath, 1/2 (photos).

- 1 Hermit Thrush, Bath Road at Cook's Corner, Brunswick, 1/2.
