Just a few observations of note over the past seven days, as the pace of migration slowed to a near-halt, included the following:
- Mouth of the Abagadasset River, Bowdoinham, 4/7:
152+ Green-winged Teal
14 Northern Pintails
3 American Wigeon
2 Lesser Scaup, etc
- Green Point WMA, Dresden, 4/7:
4 NORTHERN SHOVELERS
34 Northern Pintails, etc
While my personal First-of-Years included:
- 2 "Yellow" Palm Warblers, Florida Lake Park, Freeport, 4/2 (with Saturday Morning Birdwalk group).
- 1 Pine Warbler (first of year not at Jay Stormer's feeder), Hedgehog Mountain Park, Freeport, 4/6.
- 2 Hermit Thrushes, Florida Lake Park, 4/8 (with a client).
- 1 RUSTY BLACKBIRD, Evergreen Cemetery, Portland, 4/8 (with a client).
