Visitors:A few new visitors to the site today, many of whom were a bit startled to learn the mountain doesn't extend any higher. 12 visitors in total.
Weather:The day started out in the high 30's with cloudy skies and a stiff cool wind from the south. Visibility was great for about forty minutes before fog and mist moved in and reduced the view to about 1 mile. Winds died down substantially by late morning but the fog ebbed and flowed from the mountain for the remainder of the day.
Raptor Observations:It's a really slow day when you can't even spot an Eagle from this site. A couple TV's came by a couple times.
Non-raptor Observations:Each hour seemed like a repeat of the last with fair to poor and back to fair visibility and the occasional cawing of a crow. The highlight was a pair of Wood Ducks buzzing the mountain below eye level during the opening hour.
Predictions:Tomorrow looks to be mostly cloudy with a possibility of lingering showers. Temps should be mild, in the low 50's. Winds should be picking up in the afternoon with some strong gusts. It shouldn't be too difficult to do better than today.
