Visitors:
I have no words to describe what took place up there. Wooow! (in Owen Wilson's voice). We had some visitors

Weather:
The only clouds in the sky today were well offshore to our SE, and not even the plane contrails hung around very long. Winds were pretty light but blowing in mostly from the E and ESE until an hour or so in the later afternoon there was a stiffer onshore breeze from the SE. Compared to the past few days or weeks the temperatures seemed to change faster than an avocado ripens, hard to rotten and cold to hot.Temps were fantastic, not chilly but not sweltering. Visibility was ok but the morning had a lot of haze or smoke hanging low.

Raptor Observations:
It's fine. I'll be fine. I stood around looking for birds most of the day alone like I was Steven Glansberg. Birds were hard to find today, with not much to choose from, local or migrant. That changed a little bit in the afternoon when a couple pairs of 'tails and a nosey Broad-wing started to circle in pairs while giving their screaming calls. TV's and Eagles did make an appearance today but seemed a little shy.

Non-raptor Observations:
My day was complete right outta the gate this morning when I heard and watched a Black-throated Blue Warbler hopping through the oak branches. That is the bird which spurred me into getting more serious about birds. Certainly one of my favorites. Other first-of-season notables were an Oven bird and Tree Frog. The short list of northbound birds includes: 39 Double-crested Cormorants 22 Blue Jays 3 Tree Swallows Two Chimney Swifts 1 Great Blue Heron 1 Ruby-throated Hummingbird

Predictions:
Looks like tomorrow will be similar to today but the winds may be more southerly, still not our desired SW. I'm not sure we'll get much of the predicted West winds in the morning before the switch. We ought to have a few clouds tomorrow which will definitely help us if birds decide to move.
