Weather:Winds weren't as strong as predicted for today, which was nice. A light breeze was coming from the E and became a little stronger in the afternoon. Temps were in the mid 30's and dropped during the afternoon hours. Clouds remained over the area for the entire day. Visibility was very good.
Raptor Observations:All of the migrants came through within about a twenty minute period and the time before and after was pretty dead. The local Coop was making the rounds today giving Hawkwatch Junco a good looking over.
Non-raptor Observations:As I arrived today a mixed species foraging flock made of about a dozen (FOY)Golden-crowned Kinglets and a few Chickadees and Nuthatches swept through the evergreens at the summit. Another first-of-year bird was a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker which paused long enough for me to admire it's brilliant red throat using my scope.
Predictions:Tomorrow should be warmer, in the upper 40's to 50. There does appear to be some rain moving in tonight and could turn into off and on showers during the morning with more steady rain in the afternoon. Hopefully we can get in some counting tomorrow. I'm a little concerned for visibility in the morning due to potential fog hanging around.
