Visitors:13 people stopped by for very brief visits.
Weather:We we're back to a full day of counting after some very dreary weather. With the constant cloud cover, visibility remained excellent all day. The morning saw a few passing periods of mist which was just enough to grab the rain gear. Temps took a little while to climb from 39 to 48 Fahrenheit. Winds were light and from the NNE. The sun tried to peak through at one point but was quickly overcome.
Raptor Observations:Move along folks, nothing to see here.
Non-raptor Observations:The first few minutes of the day had a little bird song, mostly from three Blue-headed Vireos hopping around the tree tops. We did get some first-of-season Greater Yellowlegs pass by briefly, making a racket. Shortly thereafter it was as if someone hit the mute button and for the remainder of the day the air was just about silent from bird noise.
Predictions:I've already removed today from my mind and am focusing on finding some birds for tomorrow. Diminishing clouds should give us some welcome breaks of sun with temps a little warmer and in the 50's. Strong winds early should settle down but unfortunately they'll be blowing in from the NNE and maybe shifting to the E.
