Visitors:The start of the week brought 12 people to the site.
Weather:Today's temps remained pretty mild but the W winds helped to make it feel a little cooler. Clouds moved in early on, shading much of the area. There were a few breaks in the clouds which were very welcome and quite pleasant. Visibility was good, improving during the afternoon hours.
Raptor Observations:It was much more quiet today but not bad for this early in the season. Eagles were more active interacting with each other and roaming around. I'm starting to get some confidence as to which birds are looking like locals, which appear to be a number of Red-tails, a pair of Red-shoulders and possibly Cooper's.
Non-raptor Observations:Not much was happening for passerine movement today. A lot of the blackbirds looked to be yard hopping and staying low with today's winds. Only 16 species were seen or heard.
Predictions:Tomorrow looks like it could be similar to today, with gusty NW winds and temps in the 40's. There may be fewer clouds around, which will make the winds more tolerable. Hopefully we can do as well as we did today with windy conditions.
