Visitors:
25 visitors today, including 2 beautiful horses; 1 of which left us a
fragrant gift right in front of the kiosk:) 1 kite flier. 2 RC trucks.



Weather:
Partly cloudy today, periods of sunshine and periods of cloudyness. Winds
started of the SW but rotated to the west by lunchtime. Temps ranged from
50 to 65.

Raptor Observations:
The first half of the day was really great, the second half was quite slow.
Great push of broad-wings in the first 3 hours.

Non-raptor Observations:
Lots of birds streaming through the sky today! Non-raptors deemed migratory
are as follows:
-Double-crested Cormorant: 60
-American Goldfinch: 7
-Belted Kingfisher: 1
-Tree Swallow: 20
-Barn Swallow: 3
-Swallow Spp.: 200
-Common Loon: 4
-Glossy Ibis: 7
-Purple Finch: 1
-Great Blue Heron: 2
-Duck Spp.: 3
-Canada Goose: 7
-Red-winged Blackbird:9
-Blackbird Spp.: 15
-Common Grackle: 4
-Passerine Spp.:115
-Chimney Swift: 1 (FOS)

A total of 27 species detected from the summit. Black-throated Green
Warbler singing again in the morning.

Predictions:
Cloudy skies tomorrow. Winds will start out of the northeast but will
switch to southeast. Small chance of rain throughout the day. Temps cooler,
mid 50's. Winds will be mild. I expect the bugs will be out tomorrow with
the weak winds.
