[Maine-birds] WHITE IBIS (15!!!) - Wells, 11 Aug

A group of at least 15 juvenile WHITE IBIS having been in the marsh off the north side of Harbor Road in Wells this morning, 11 Aug. There is roadside parking just past the Fisherman's Catch (restaurant).

[Maine-birds] Little Blue Heron, Cherryfield

There is an immature Little Blue Heron in the Narraguagus River, c. 60-70 yards north of the Rte. 1 (lower) bridge. All-white, roughly the size of a Snowy Egret, but thicker, shorter, neck, greenish legs, and bluish bill with dark tip. Never thought I'd see one here.

[Maine-birds] Re: Wilson’s Phalarope

After further review of this photo and discussion with Eddy Edwards … we are now leaning toward a Red-necked Phalarope. I've never seen a Ref-necked except far out at sea but the Sibley's photos match up.

Thoughts anyone?
