[Maine-birds] Baldpate Mountain - Gray Jays and Bicknell's Thrush

Hiked Baldpate Mountain from Grafton Notch on Sunday (7/3/2012). Pretty hike with lots of birdsong all the way up and mostly good weather. Highlights were a family of Gray Jays on the West peak (2 adults, 2 hatch year) and about 5 Bicknell's Thrushes calling and occasionally singing between the two peaks. Very good look at one BITH that was calling loudly and perched on top of a snag for about 30 seconds. Very un-BITH-like! Lots of Swainson's Thrushes between 2500 and 3500 feet. Species list below.
