Up beech hill on this muggy afternoon....
Eastern/Rufus sided towhee - male singing from tip top of tree near summit
common yellowthroat (numerous)
chestnut sided warbler (numerous)
gray catbird
black throated green
american robin
hermit thrush
wood thrush
golden crowned kinglet'
b. c. chickadee
red eyed vireo
ovenbird
I might be excessively excited by the towhee but have not seen one in years and was not expecting him in the treetops instead of the underbrush.
