Hello all,
After seeing MR Mosleys post about the Lubec Flats (accessed by the Bar RD off of the South Lubec RD), I decided to see if anything had changed since thurs; I made it there at about 4:00, 3 hrs ahead of high tide or so., It was very foggy, visibility was restricted to about 30 yards or so from the beach, There were not a huge amount of shorebirds present but, a good variety none the less.
Black-bellied plovers - 119 (I thought about Norm Famous' post in regards to counting/estimating shorebirds, so I guestimated the flock in front of me to be about 100 birds. After a quick count I came up with 105! No too bad I guess,)

Sanderling - 5
Ruddy turnstone - 6
Short-billed dowitcher - 4
Greater yellowlegs - 1
Whimbrel - 1 heard only
Semi-palmated plover - 20 ish
Semi-palmated sandpiper - 50 ish
Least sanpiper - 20 ish
Herring gull
Greater black-backed gull
Ring-billed gull
Boneparts gull - 50 ish
American black duck - 1
Common eider - 50 ish
Black scoter - 1 1st year male
Horned grebe - 1 breeding plumaged adult
Double-crested cormorants - 6
Great blue herron -1
American crows - 6
Common raven - 2
Bald eagle - 1 adult
Savanah sparrow - 1
Pikes puddle, South Lubec rd, Lubec
American black duck - 20 ish
Greater yellowlegs - 3
Lesser yellowlegs - 2
American tree swallows - 5
