[Maine-birds] One fewer peregrine?

Has anyone been keeping track of the Waldo-Hancock bridge peregrines? When I was running last Thursday, I discovered a dead bird (roadkill?) on Verona Island, across from the Citgo Station at the side of the road. I thought it might have been a peregrine; certainly a smaller raptor. Today my husband and I ran the same route and its remains are still there but in pieces.Sorry for the delay in reporting this, but if anyone is in the area and you can ID this bird, I'd be interested in knowing if my guess was accurate.
