Today's highlights at Chickawukee Lake on RTE 17 in Rockland: 14
common goldeneye; 21 ruddy ducks; 7 lesser scaup. In additional to the
usual club of loafing gulls at mid-lake, others included a
pied-billed, 2 common loons and a flock of 60+ American coots seen
earlier today that had apparently shifted to grassy cover at the
southern margins of the lake when an adult eagle arrived.
