Comments: On the way to school in Bar Harbor two Bald Eagle, male and female based on size, were seen swooping, diving and playing with each other as they flew over the water at the Bluffs. Crows and Gulls high above the eagle confirmed my suspicions and a nesting pair perhaps. These are most likely the Hulls Cove birds whose nest complex in a White Pine has produce numerous eaglets during its (apprx) 10 year activity. I have taken an interest in this nest having begun Eagle research on MDI in 1994 studying the Twinny Island nest intensely…..  We encountered a Juvi 2nd year just before Bar Harbor and everywhere the crows and Gulls were flying high and calling out to others in the eagle's path. Leaving Bar Harbor I had another adult bird.
Following on the recent increase in Eagle observations in other parts of the State of Maine, these observations confirm changes in weather and eagle activity along the Down East coast. . .

Basketball update:  MDI A Team playing in the semi-finales of the Sherriff's Cup in Ellsworth, where they are beating most teams from around the state of Maine most handedly and with precision.
An amazingly deep bench. They are coming to the understanding of Team Work.  Many good things come from working together.
