[Maine-birds] Golden Eagle, RHWoodpecker, Leucistic Chickadee, No. Shrike - Feb 10

All the subject birds were present at their haunts in Bath today.

A Golden Eagle made one soaring pass over the Bath Landfill at 12:54. approaching from the south and continuing on toward Merrymeeting Bay.  This bird was confusing, given its state of plumage.  It was either GE No. 2, (Seen Jan 07, Photo'd on Jan 08), or Bird No. 4 for this site this season.  White patches were prominent on the underwing, especially at base of inner primaries, but also spreading onto the bases of outer secondaries.

The Red-Headed Woodpecker continues at Bee Haven Farm today, along with the leucistic Chickadee.  And the long continuing No. Shrike is getting to be reliable at Wing Farm, there at least since Jan 08.
