At 7 a.m. three snowy owls remained at the west end of the airport (RTE 73.) One owl was perched on the orange runway lights; a second in a tree behind the green chain fencing on right side of runway, a third was feeding on a catch much further down the runway. All three birds are dark, heavily-marked individuals. A persistent northern shrike at the top of a spruce.
