[Maine-birds] This Week's Highlights: 1/7-1/12.

Hi all,

My observations of note over the past six days were as follows:
- 2 continuing Snowy Owls and about 40 Snow Buntings, Brunswick Landing, 1/7 (with Saturday Morning Birdwalk group).
- 1 male Barrow's Goldeneye (first of season) and 42 Dunlin, Winslow Park, Freeport, 1/8.
- 1 Great Blue Heron, Lower Falls Landing, Yarmouth, 1/8.
- 1 male Barrow's Goldeneye, Cumberland Town Landing, 1/8.
- 1 continuing ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER, Pond Cove, Cape Elizabeth, 1/9 (with Jeannette. Photo here: https://www.facebook.com/Freeportwildbird/photos/pb.198877036808925.-2207520000.1484163877./1516487318381217/?type=3&theater)
- 1 continuing male Northern Pintail, behind Bay Harbor Car Wash, South Portland, 1/9 (with Jeannette).
- 1 Hermit Thrush, our yard in Pownal, 1/9.

And on Tuesday the 10th, Luke Seitz and I did a Big Day that resulted in 73 species, highlighted by 22 species of waterfowl. A recap of the day and an annoted list is here:
