[Maine-birds] Schoodic Tuesday Morning Birding - 47 Species

I had a great morning birding with Seth Benz.  Big scoter migration with over 300 black scoters, but also white winged and surf scoters.   Harlequin ducks, black legged kittiwakes, northern gannets, razorbills, common and thicked billed murres at Schoodic point.   Other highlights were barrow's goldeneyes, green winged teals, wood ducks, killdeers, fox and tree sparrows, northern harrier, ruffed grouse and a woodcock.   We even had a couple really drab brown headed cowbirds that proved a difficult ID.

It was a great morning.    The next Tuesday morning birding trip is set for 4/23.   For more info:  https://www.schoodicinstitute.org/events/

Best regards,

Dean
