Just back from a nice, birdy walk on the Bridle Path in K'bunk, that runs south from the Sea Road School, along the Mousam River estuary, and across Route 9/Western Ave. The big treat was encountering a mini-fallout of warblers at a spot about 3/4 of a mile north of Route 9, near where a short path heads to a man-made overlook. At least six Black & Whites, three Magnolias, one Chestnut-sided, at least three Pines, and a couple of Ovenbirds, heard but not seen. Thanks to a another friendly birder we found a gorgeous male Scarlet Tanager and a male Common Yellowthroat at a spot south of Route 9, near the sign for the K'bunk Land Trust Madelyn Marx Preserve.
