[Maine-birds] Bradbury Mountain Spring Hawkwatch begins tomorrow!

Hi all,

Hawkwatching season is upon us again! We are proud to announce the Bradbury Mountain Raptor Migration Project's 14th spring migration hawkcount gets underway tomorrow! This year, we welcome Luke Fultz from Pennsylvania as the "official counter". Luke is a lifelong birder with a passion for hawks. Along with various bird research jobs, he has most recently worked on a bat research project. He will be stationed at the summit every day from today, March 15th to May 15th (9:00am - 5:00pm), counting the migrant raptors that pass by, answering questions on raptors and raptor identification, and sharing the joys of hawkwatching with everyone.

Whether you are a seasoned birder, or just want to learn how to identify raptors, come join us atop "The Brad!" You can keep tabs on what is passing through by checking the Hawkcount.org webpage daily. The daily report will also be posted on the Maine-birds Listserve. The Hawkwatch is free with standard state park entry fees.
