[Maine-birds] nesting eagle and open ponds

Hi All,

The ponds are about 99% open water now. List of sightings are below.

I was asked where is the eagles nest by a photographer.  To see the nest turn right after going through the gate into the ponds , go to the power pole.. Sometimes the head of the eagle can be seen from there.  If not, than go about 100 yards or so to your left.  Between the power pole and going left there is a branch of the tree hiding the nest.  The eagle sits very low in the nest and usually i have only seen no more than eyes and yellow bill.  The eaglets should hatch in the the next two weeks. Since the nest is so deep they may not be visible until they get bigger.

Happy birding
