Hi all,
My observations of note over the past seven days included the following:
- 1 American Woodcock (FOY), South Freeport Road, South Freeport, 3/7 (with Saturday Morning Birdwalk group).
- 130 mixed scaup (at least 80% Greater, but active feeding made proportions impossible to estimate), Maquoit Bay Conservation Land, Brunswick, 3/8.
- 1 Turkey Vulture (FOY), Highland Road, Brunswick, 3/8.
- 14 WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS, 11 RED CROSSBILLS, 5 PINE SISKINS (FOY), Long Falls Dam Road, Somerset County, 3/9 (with Jeannette).
- 24 SNOW GEESE (including 2 "Blue Geese; FOY), Wyman Road, Benton, 3/9 (with Jeannette).
- 1 successfully-overwintering GRAY CATBIRD and 48 Brant, Eastern Promenade, Portland, 3/10.
- 1 Rusty Blackbird (FOY; early), Chandler Brook Preserve, North Yarmouth, 3/11.
- 1 pair American Wigeon, Wharton Point, Brunswick, 3/12 (with Luke Fultz).
