Visitors:
7 people visited the hawk watch today.

Weather:
Light southwest winds and abundant cloud cover for the first few hours of the count. Cloud cover diminished through the afternoon and winds turned southeast. A decent amount of haze on the horizon persisted through the day.

Raptor Observations:
Large movement of Turkey Vultures today. Multiple "kettles" forming and breaking off north were observed throughout the day. Although Turkey Vultures dominated the numbers today, we did have a good diversity of other birds moving, including the first Broad-winged Hawk of the season.

Non-raptor Observations:
A lot of non-raptor species moving about today, including a solid blackbird push. 37 species were observed from the summit. Individuals deemed migrant included: 52 Canada Geese 8 Common Mergansers 8 Duck sp. 2 Killdeer 6 Great Blue Herons 2 Eastern Phoebes 16 Tree Swallows 14 European Starlings 48 American Robins 4 Purple Finches 68 American Goldfinches 98 Red-winged Blackbirds 7 Brown-headed Cowbirds 508 Common Grackles 504 Blackbird sp.

Predictions:
Sunshine and relatively light northwest winds tomorrow. I believe we will still see birds migrating in this window between poor conditions last week and weather systems moving into the area Wednesday.
