[Maine-birds] Evening Grosbeaks!!!
Greetings, birding friends! My birding reflexes catapulted me from my desk just now, in response to what sounded like party-hardy House Sparrows that had rented some amplification. Evening Grosbeaks! 5 males and 4 females, all with a striking greenish sheen on their bills. Sadly, they were unimpressed with my picked-over feeder offerings and moved on after a few minutes.
