Just came out in my yard for a closer look at a couple of FOY Black-and-white Warblers (with a small group of Yellow-rumps) and was very surprised to come upon a (male) Blackpoll Warbler! Seems really early. I heard its call note first and recognized it as something I know but it didn't register what it was right away because that's not a species I would have expected here for at least a couple more weeks.
