[Maine-birds] Least Bittern in Greenbush

On the way home from KWWNM I did some evening marsh birding stopping at marshes along Rte. 2 and got one of my most wanted Maine birds finally, a Least Bittern.  There may have been two, but not sure.  It was located in the marsh where the railroad tracks and Rte. 2 make a narrow triangle across from Lower River Rd. in Greenbush.  Also had two nighthawks fly low over the marsh.  On a sad note I had a dead bald eagle on I-95 on the way up to the monument near the porcupine carcass it had been feeding on:-(  A first for me.  Sad.
