Around 4:45 this afternoon in Hallowell, I came upon an Eastern Phoebe perching on wires and deck railings at a friend's house. It was wagging its tail when perched and flew in "hawking" mode around ivy on the house walls. I can't imagine it will survive the next few weeks...
-- I do see that Phoebes have been seen recently in NH and a few places in the Maritimes.
