Visitors:
5 visitors and a few rock crawlers.

Weather:
The count officially opened at 12:30 EDT due to morning rain. By the time I arrived visibility was improving quickly and the clouds were breaking apart revealing some very warm sunshine. The rest of the afternoon was off and on periods of rain showers and higher winds then dead calm. Temps were in the upper 40's.

Raptor Observations:
Another productive day on the mountain! Turkey Vultures didn't waste any time once the bulk of the rain pushed through. There were two, about equal sized groups of TV's following close to each other equaling 100 birds. There were a few other raptors moving independently from the Vultures, coming close to the summit for some really nice views. I am somewhat surprised to not have spotted any Eagles today.

Non-raptor Observations:
Following the Turkey Vulture flight were Sandhill Cranes, flying 3 wide, wingtip to wingtip. Unfortunately they were pretty high with poor lighting. I didn't witness much passerine movement besides a large flock of blackbirds and another of Robins. We did have our first Killdeer fly by today. A total of 16 species were seen or heard.

Predictions:
I'm hoping the wind predictions for tomorrow don't hold up, similar to today. Winds are supposed to be gusting into the 20's, from the W. Clouds should be minimal and air temps pretty mild. West isn't a bad wind direction and could be decent if it remains light.
