[Maine-birds] Yellow-rumped warbler ID

I have had up to 3 of these guys in my yard and at my suet feeders for the last 5 days. They are all quite bright and it’s easy to see the yellow crown patch at several angles when they’re on a suet feeder, but a few times no crown patch is visible. Would that be a female or can the crown patch be really small or hidden? Is it a Myrtle vs Audubon’s thing? I lived in California for 20 years and never had this issue with the Audubon’s subspecies warblers in my yard there. Thanks for any help.
