[Maine-birds] Bluebirds

Lovely, lively flock of bluebirds this morning in Auburn. 12-15 in my yard and neighbors yard. They always seem to come back to nesting sites during the fall. Beautiful to see them this morning.

[Maine-birds] Re: Sandhill Cranes in Smithfield

There were 21 Sandhills in the field 1/2 m from the Smithfield town center (RT 8), on the right headed to Norridgewock, and the additional group of 12 was still there on the left after the cow farm right behind Mindy's Precision Hair Cutting today at 3:40.

[Maine-birds] Iceland Gull

Around 11:00 am, there was a juvenile Iceland Gull on the sandbar off of F Sanborn Rd at Sabattus Pond. With RBGUs.

4 wigeons at Samoset Pond at the first hole on the golf course in Rockport.

It was a beautiful morning at Sabattus Pond. Good numbers and good variety. In addition to the usual Mallards, Black Ducks, Great and Lesser Scaup, Ruddy Ducks, Buffleheads,and Common and Hooded Mergansers, there were several Ring-necked Ducks, 20 or so Green-winged Teal, one American Wigeon, two Northern Shovelers, two Pintails. There was also one first winter Iceland Gull in a flock of about 100 Herring Gulls.

Yellow-throated Warbler —Timber Point

We found a YTWA today around 12:45 pm in the stand of trees between the point and the house at Timber Point in Biddeford. Very active, hard to get an extended look at, but seemed to be sticking around in the area. Among a very loose flock of BCCH and GCKI.

Norridgewock cranes

still there in the way, way back of the last big field before getting to
town on Rt. 8. I recommend a scope. There were +/- 18??
