[Maine-birds] red-winged blackbirds

FOY red-winged blackbirds (2 males) were in my yard in Buxton this afternoon.

[Maine-birds] Webber pond Bremen

First red-winged blackbird today— plus bluebirds, downy woodpecker, tufted titmice, juncos, whitethroated sparrows, and the regulars— heard a raven over the pond —not his usual range but possibly checking out where the ice fishermen had been ( crows were there on Saturday)

At about 1130, I had a TUrkey Vulture fly over my car on Running Hill Road near Target. Earliest year record for me in Maine.

[Maine-birds] Northern Shrike

2/23/20 - Rustlewood Farm Kittery - Northern Shrike continues to be reliable especially early in the morning.

This morning it spent over an hour in the same tree behind the farm singing and preening.

[Maine-birds] Rough-legged Hawk/Richmond

While looking for this bird it showed itself fairly close to my position. What an amazing raptor. Rite next to highway on Beedle and Weeks Rd.

[Maine-birds] White-Winged Crossbill in Schoodic

My spouse and I hiked on the bike paths at Schoodic. We were over by Wonsqueak and got a nice view of a white-winged crossbill. Photo attached.
