[Maine-birds] Female King Eider, Wharton Pt, Brunswick

Hi all,

While out delivering seed, I made a quick stop at Wharton Point as I drove by. At about 5:00, I was shocked -given the date and especially the location - to find a female KING EIDER well off of of the boat launch. It was mostly associating with Common Eiders, but the group was mixing in with the several hundred White-winged Scoters, etc, which are staging here. Between distance, wind, and cold fingers, my phone-scoping attempts have been a completely failure. Birds are getting further away as the tide is going out.
