Hello All,
"The" or an other Peregrine Falcon perched on the stack in Lewiston this morning at about 8 AM. Viewed from Auburn River Walk.
14 scattered Pine Grosbeaks viewed on the North River and Stetson Roads in Auburn feeding on crabapples in the overgrown fields near the junction of the two roads.
12 Horned Grebes and one Greater Scaup on Lake Auburn.
Sharp reduction in waterfowl at Sabattus Pond unless they are all at the north end of the lake. One raft about about 30 Scaup and that was about it. Even few Mallards around. Perhaps an eagle had reshuffled the deck or they have moved on on NW winds.
Nice assemblage of about 20 Hooded Mergansers were the exception to the rule at the south end of the lake.
Highlight of the day were two otters eating breakfast in the water on Runaround Pond in Durham. No table manners. Chew with their mouths open and make a lot of noise.
