[Maine-birds] Cave Swallow, Machiasport, 11/14
Sorry for the belated post, but thought this would be of interest to some. Yesterday afternoon, 11/14, a cave swallow came flying right alongside a commercial vessel that I was on as we entered Machiasport Harbor (Washington County). The bird circled as we tied to the mooring and landed on an adjacent boat. It made my day! The swallow departed for shore ahead of us and I did not see it again.
