[Maine-birds] 3 swans...

...flew directly over our yard in West Bath today at 4:30 P.M. Large, all white birds with long neck outstretched in front of the bodies, flying very close together. Wings making that unforgetable sound, like no other bird can produce. Their trajectory would have them originating in Merrymeeting Bay or the Bath area of the Kennebec R., then after crossing our yard, down the New Meadows River past Cundy's Harbor and out to the Gulf of Maine, or points west and south.

I've got no more details re: head or bills, etc. Keep your eyes open.
