It is that time of year again. We are having a Big Sit at Maine Audubon’s Gilsland Farm in Falmouth in the north meadow on Saturday October 11. We will have signs directing your way out to the site. You do not have to sign up ahead, just come for as long as you want during the day for 10 minutes or 10 hours. Everyone is welcome, regardless of your birding expertise. We will be there from at least 6-6. Bring a lawn chair, some munchies (we will provide some too) and enjoy the fun!
What is a Big Sit? We sit inside a 17–foot circle, counting all the bird species we see or hear. The Big Sit is done on this weekend all over the world.
