[Maine-birds] Warbler-sized visitor

A small bird just landed in the tree above my birdfeeders and flitted away without coming down to them.  I had only a glimpse, and I'm puzzled.  I saw a white eye-ring and white or white-ish wingbars, and a got a "sense" of yellow wash but didn't see how much of the breast was yellow.  It didn't stay long enough.  I'm guessing it's a female of something but it's not one that's common in my Bangor yard.  Certainly it could have been a vireo; it wasn't upright on the branch.  I do not think it was a kinglet; it wasn't small enough.

Ideas? Peterson has failed me.
