Observers: Alan McKelvy, Jeannette Lovitch, Steve Barker, Zane Baker
Visitors:

Weather:
The morning started with rain, and there was a brief delay during the
morning showers when the count was postponed for an hour. Once the rain
moved out, partly sunny skies, warm temperatures, and favorable winds set
up great conditions for hawk watching.
Raptor Observations:
Today 52 raptors were recorded at Bradbury. Despite favorable conditions
not a great day for migrants. We did see small numbers of Broad-winged
Hawks, Sharp-shinned Hawks, and Ospreys migrating in loose groups.
Non-raptor Observations:
Other migrants for today:
Tree Swallow 5
Warbler sp. 4
Palm Warbler 3
Brown-headed Cowbird 2
Double-crested Cormorant 1
Northern Flicker 1
Predictions:
Winds are supposed to be out of the east tomorrow, but if they become more
southerly birds may be moving when the sun is out! The morning is our best
chance for sun tomorrow. Clouds and occasional showers are predicted in the
afternoon. Hopefully the rain holds off, and we see more hawks and less
rain tomorrow!
