[Maine-birds] Possible "Lesser" Sandhill Crane, North Yarmouth, 4/24

Hi all,

Andrew Wolfgang and I had a SANDHILL CRANE at Old Town House Park in North Yarmouth this morning. However, unlike every other Sandhill Crane that I have seen in Maine, or seen photos of, this bird is suggestive of the more northerly-breeding "Lesser" subspecies. I need to some more research and send the photos around, but my first impression and several photos of the bird can be found on my blog, here:
