The frozen birds are older reports.
Great blue heron - dead emaciated bird found along a beach in Indian Township (next to Princeton, a half hour north of Calais) last Tuesday. There is over two feet of snow on the ground in that area.
Eastern phoebe - Arrival March 22; went missing March 24 after a second night of below zero windy weather. .
Eastern phoebe (1) - Yard bird arrived March 24 and was still present on April 5.
Fox sparrow (1) - FOY fox sparrow arrived at our feeder on April 1.
Purple finch (single male) - Arrived at our feeder on April 1.
Common grackle (over 75 ) - Arrived at feeder on April 4 with a few still around on April 5.
Common redpolls (5) - Continue at our feeder through April 6.
American woodcock (1) - Heard from the Best Buy parking lot in Augusta on April 3.
