[Maine-birds] Stuffed Hairy Woodpecker Nailed to a Tree

Somebody stuffed a Hairy Woodpecker and nailed him to a tree outside my kitchen window by my suet feeder......or so I thought. After almost half an hour, I walked outside towards the poor guy and spotted a Sharp-Shinned Hawk 2 or 3 branches above him.

The hawk flew off and 5 minutes later I walked towards the limb where the Hairy Woodpecker was hanging upside down. With an ear-splitting squawk, he white-washed the picnic table below and begged his leave.
