[Maine-birds] Mew gull - Yes

I went home for lunch today and spotted the mew gull loafing on the beach with 100+ other gulls.  It's the first time that I've seen it since last Sunday. I took some photos of the bird with it's wings extended and I'm now confident that it's a European subspecies of mew gull, Larus canus canus.  Photos and further ramblings on identification can be seen here:  https://flic.kr/p/GeZ6Tu
