[Maine-birds] This Week's Highlights, 2/3-9

Hi all,

My observations of note over the past seven days included the following:

- 1 THICK-BILLED MURRE (photos) and 1 drake BARROW'S GOLDENEYE, Sandy Point Beach, Cousin's Island, Yarmouth, 2/3 (with Saturday Morning Birdwalk group). The murre was my 186th species here!

- 1 1st-winter Glaucous Gull and 5+ Iceland Gulls (1-2 adult, 4-6 1st winter), Portland Harbor, 2/4 (with York County Audubon Gull Wokshop group).

- 2 1st-winter Glaucous Gulls and 30-35+ Bald Eagles, Hatch Hill Landfill, 2/8 (with Aislinn Sarnacki).

- 2 drake and 1 hen BARROW'S GOLDENEYES, 6 Dunlin, and 1 1st-winter Glaucous Gull, Winslow Park, Freeport, 2/9.
