Re: [Maine-birds] Sandhill Cranes

Thanks to all for these helpful postings. Many birders have helped me try to locate sandhill cranes this past year, but I haven't been successful until today, in the heavy rain (so photos aren't the best). About 30 birds located at 3:30 on Martins Stream Road. Just beautiful. And thank you again to all past and present guides. We saw no other birders at all.

I just got a report from Louis Bevier that the flock has split up and  there are none in Smithfield, but 20-23 on Martin Stream Rd., in Norridgewock.  They move around a lot.
